David Ingram is a US / Canadian tax Consultant who once ran tax preparation offices in 30 states. Today, he specializes in US Canada border situations and there are few people who have more involvement with making US / Canada relations move smoothly than david Ingram. His activities have taken him to all ten provinces and 23 states in the last five years .

He has bought over 200 items on eBay in the last two years for his wife's office. These have involved some 100 US presidential election mementos and over 60 pieces of office equipment including 18 computers, 15 printers, 17 monitors and about 30 toner cartridges.The office is decorated with a large American Flag and a collection of Presidential election material including an invitation to the inaugural ball for George W Bush and a couple of original Lee, Dade and Marin county Florida Voting machines.

Many eBay sellers do not like shipping to Canada. This has never been a problem for david because, with a couple of exceptions, all the purchases have been sent to his address in Blaine, Washington. In fact, because of Service charges from UPS and FEDEX , he prefers that items be shipped to the US address.

The picture in the article for instance shows (in the background) an original Florida Voting booth which was bought on eBay. There is a large American Flag hanging behind the voting machine.

On March 18, David went to bid on a Lexmark printer on eBay.

To his surprise, he found out that the seller would not only not "ship to" Canada, he would not even accept a bid from a Canadian.

At the present time we do not ship to or accept bids from Canada, Mexico, France, Germany or any other country that does not support the United States in our efforts to rid the world of Saddam Hussein. If you are not with us, you are against us..

David Ingram actually won the auction.
The seller will not send it to his American Address
because he is a Canadian!

We do not know if he would sell to Democrats like Senator Tom Paine who has been far more critical of the Iraq situation without UN sanction than the Canadian Prime Minister, Jean Chretien was.
